Maruti S-Cross Facelift will not get 1.6L diesel engine - Report


The upcoming Maruti S-Cross facelift or 2017 Maruti S-Cross will not get the 1.6-litre diesel engine in the Indian market, according to the escalating reports. As per your familiarity, the current Maruti S-Cross is offered with the two diesel engines, 1.3-litre diesel and 1.6-litre diesel.

The reports indicated that the Indian passenger car company, Maruti Suzuki has already stopped the production of the S-Cross 1.6-litre diesel units. Moreover, the Maruti Dealers have stopped the booking orders for 1.6-litre diesel units. Some of the outlets have stock for the interested people.

Maruti will offer the petrol options for the S-Cross as Suzuki has already introduced Indonesian-specific S-Cross (SX4) with the M15A 1.5-litre petrol engine and two gearbox options. The engine is rated at 109 PS of power and 138Nm of torque. No confirmation about the petrol engines for the Indian market.

As we know, Baleno with the Boosterjet petrol engine has a good market. It would be the great advantage to increase compact SUV sales if the S-Cross will offer with that same engine.  
The new facelift will identical to European-specific Maruti S-Cross 2017, which was introduced in the last year. As per the information, the front part of the car will get changes for a new look. The pre bookings for 2017 S-Cross will be started from September 1st at dealerships. Besides, the launch will be scheduled for this festive season.

Maruti S-Cross is the opening product from NEXA network and established cumulative sales in the starting months. Expecting that the facelift will have the same response from the local customers.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Petrol

Diesel version of the Vitara Brezza has the successful market in the Indian automotive industry. To increase the brand popularity, The Indian carmaker planning to launch the petrol version of the existing Vitara Brezza.  A few of best automotive sources indicated that the petrol versions will expect to be revealed by 2017 end or 2018 Auto Expo, which will open its doors on February 9.

Speaking about the specifications, the compact SUV will come with the 1.0-litre Boosterjet, 1.4-litre K14B and 1.5-litre M15A. The Boosterjet engine, which also used in Baleno RS, will be rated at 75kW of power, 150Nm of torque and 20-21kmpl.
