In the global market, Volkswagen has released more GTIs in the country, but the company is now looking for the Golf GTI only for the Indian market. One of the Golf models will most probably launch in 2018 or 2019. One more point noticed by the company, that is, whether the Golf will have a great response in the market or not. In fact, the feature-rich and global-standard cars meet utmost level in the country than the company’s expectations. Expecting that, the GTI will reach the maximum levels.
The Golf is the most important product of the German car manufacturer and one of the best selling cars in the worldwide. Maruti Suzuki’s future models to get full hybrid system

The Indian carmaker plans to increase the hybrid range in the country so that Maruti Suzuki has recently considered the full hybrid technology for its future cars. Ultimately, the motto of the company is to introduce the full hybrid vehicles in India. The local unit Maruti has been imported the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology from its parent company Suzuki and introduced in the Maruti Ciaz followed by the Maruti Ertiga.
The mild hybrid Maruti cars have received more acceptance from the customers as of increased fuel-efficiency and the company has sold more than 1,00,000 units of such cars so far. By this observation as well as in order to meet the upcoming fuel efficiency norms, the Indian auto giant has decided to introduce the full range of hybrid cars in the market.
According to C.V. Raman, ED of Maruti Suzuki (R&D), the future cars will get a lot of hybridisation from the company to reach the future fuel efficiency norms. The SHVS technology has an encouraging response so that we will defiantly consider it for future models.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki is working on the full hybrid technology for the next generation people to understand the full hybrid. The company is now studying the possibility of mild-hybrid tech introduction in the 2017 Maruti Swift, which launches in mid-2017 in India.
There is no plan of adding the mild hybrid technology to the Ignis, which is scheduled to introduce in January 2017, according to Raman. No special reason specified for this, but it could be based on the current tax rate (excise duty) structure that is low for small cars with hybrid technology. As of now, the hybrid and small cars to get the 12.5 percent excise duty in the country.
