Maruti Suzuki Domestic Sales Reported 14.2% Growth in November 2016


The Indian carmaker, Maruti Suzuki announced its sales report for the last month and reported 14.2% growth in the domestic sales by the sales of 1,26,325 units. The carmaker has sold 1,10,599 units in the country in November 2015. The company’s total sales increased to 1,35,550 units in November 2016  and achieved the growth of 12.2% compared to 1,20,824 units in the year-ago month.
Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 96,767 passenger cars in the earlier month in the country and gained the single digit growth of 8.1% against the November 2015 sales of 89,479 units. In the PV segment, the Mini car’s segment reported the growth of 8.1% with the sales of 38,886 units in the last month. With the Maruti Swift, Celerio, Ritz, Swift Dzire and Baleno, the compact segment reported the 10.8% growth to 49,431 units in November 2016. The same compact segment achieved 44,626 units in November 2015.
The super compact and mid-size segments have achieved the negative sales in the last month. With the introduction of Maruti Vitara Brezza, the Ciaz sales dropped to 5,433 units in November 2016, from 5,509 units in the same month in 2015.
The segment of utility vehicles with the launch of Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and Ertiga Hybrid has reported the highest growth of 98.1% in the country to 17,215units. Maruti Suzuki’s UV segment had 8,688 units of sales in November 2015.
The biggest carmaker has sold 115 units of Super Carry LCVs in India in the previous month while the segment of Vans reported 1.6% decrement in the November sales. Moreover, the company’s export sales also decreased 9.8% in the last month to 9,225 units from 10,225 units in the corresponding month of the earlier year.
Till the November, the company has sold 10,36,256 units, of which 9,55,459 units from the domestic sales and 80,797 units from the exports and reported 9.1% growth.

The company’s net profit increased to 60.2% with Rs. 2398 crore and the net sales reported 29.5% growth to 17,594.60 crores in the second quarter ended in September 2016, as against Q2 ended in September 2015.
