Sixth generation Volkswagen Polo gets evolutionary exterior



Almost seven years completed for the fifth-generation Volkswagen Polo so that the German carmaker is developing the sixth generation model. The 2017 Volkswagen Polo launches in the next year with an evolutionary exterior, according to the latest information from auto-moto. The upcoming Polo hatchback will be based on the MQB A0 platform, which will also share in the next gen Seat Ibiza, Audi A1 and Skoda Fabia. With the Volkswagen Group’s platform, the 2017 Polo model reduces its weight by 70kgs than the existing generation model.
In the Volkswagen Group, it will be the smallest and least expensive car. The upcoming VW car will be 20cm longer than the fifth-gen Polo and available in 5-door form. As per the reports, the global-specific three-door version is not be updated due to the low sales. Along with this, the GTi variant to be renewed and offered only in 5-door form.
The 2017 VW Polo will be available in three and four-cylinder engines ranging from 1.0-litre to 1.5-litre. Expecting that, the GTI will continue the 1.8L TSI engine or power by the previous 1.4L TSI engine with the same output.
The earlier reports indicated that all-new Polo will be previewed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show but, the new reports indicated that it will be world premiered at the 2017 IAA in September. In the Indian market, the next-gen Polo will have better sales in the next year. Volkswagen India has planned to lower the final cost to rival with the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20. Very recently, the company has introduced the VW Polo GTI and special crest editions, Polo Crest, Vento Crest and Ameo Crest in the Indian market.
