The SUV major, Mahindra &Mahindra reported that its total sales increased by 8 percent to 39,011 units
in June 2016. The total sales of the company (domestic and exports) in the
year-ago period were 36,134 units. Being a domestic automaker, the company has
sold 34,991 unit in the earlier month and reported a growth of 5 percent
compared to the sales in the year-ago month, 33,282 units.
In the export market, sales were
up 41 percent at 4,020 units in the last month compared with 2,852 units in
June 2015. Mahindra Reva e2o and KUV 100 models exported to the few of markets,
including Nepal and the UK.
Passenger vehicle sales increased
7 percent to 17,070 units in the last month as against 15,880 units in the
year-ago month. The Mahindra cars like Scorpio, Xylo, XUV 500, Bolero, Verito,
TUV 300 and KUV 100 are available in the domestic market at the reasonable
prices.
Sales of commercial vehicles,
including Bolero pick-up, Supro van, Imperio and Maxitruk, also went up to 6%
to 13,540 units, from 12,737 units in the same month of last year.
The company has witnessed for the
positive results in the market and the result will be influenced the company to
get more sales in the coming festival period, according to Pravin Shah, Chief
Executive (Automotive) of Mahindra. This
result to be influenced to increase the company demand as well as expand the
rural success in the market.
