Maruti Baleno RS spied on test before its launch


The upcoming Maruti Suzuki car, Baleno RS has been spied with no exterior cover before its festival season launch in India, according to the reports from the automotive bloggers. The Maruti Baleno hatchback has been launched in the last year and available in petrol and diesel versions. At the present, the manufacturer is readying to launch the Baleno RS in the market in the coming festival season. The Baleno RS is the similar model of export-specific Baleno, which is available with the BoosterJet petrol engine. The RS model comes with the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is esteemed at the 110hp of maximum power and 170Nm of torque.

The Baleno RS will be featured with the 5-speed manual gearbox as standard transmission. The new premium hatchback will be more efficient than the existing petrol versions, which are offered by the 1.2-litre K-series engine. The performance-based model will get the sporty body kit with the mesh grille and sportier front bumper, side skirts, lower rear bumper, roof spoiler and black colored alloy wheels. The front bumper will feature the silver underlining and wider radiator intake for an attractive look.

Along with the much-awaited Maruti Ignis, the Baleno RS concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, the famous motor show in India. Whatever the model showcased by the company in Delhi in February 2016 is expected to receive the production.

Being a performance-based model in the premium hatchback segment, the Baleno RS will compete with the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and Fiat Abarth Punto. Like the Baleno RS, both models offered with the high-efficient and turbocharged engines.

The Baleno RS will be retailed through the premium outlets under the NEXA network of Maruti Suzuki like the regular Baleno, which receives waiting period based upon the location. The Baleno costs Rs. 5.15lakh on the base variant Sigma 1.2 to Rs. 8.33lakh on the top-end variant Alpha 1.3.
