Maruti Suzuki to launch S-Cross facelift in 2017

With the reports from Motor Octane, the Maruti S-Cross facelift is expected to be launched in the country in 2017. But, the S-Cross facelift has already reached to the European market. The crossover facelift comes with the several major upgrades in terms of design, interior and exterior equipment. The overall look of the S-Cross facelift is equivalent to the existing model but, it comes with the special effects to reach all kinds of customers in the global market. There is a difference between the Indian-specific and export-specific models, especially in the mechanical equipment.

The S-Cross is the first premium crossover from Maruti Suzuki and it has been launched in 2015 in the Indian market. The same model manufactured in India was exported to the other countries, but the model didn’t meet the company’s expectation in the domestic as well as global markets. As for that reason, Maruti Suzuki has committed to introduce the crossover facelift in the country as soon as possible.

Being a premium product, the S-Cross crossover is available through the NEXA network, which has the premium dealerships introduced in the last year. The network has sold more than 1 lakh units of both premium cars, Baleno and S-Cross, in its one year period.

The crossover has been spied with the partially covered body for several times for the overall testing. Moreover, the sketched model and the images of the S-Cross facelift is available on the Internet and indicated that the S-Cross facelift comes with the new front fascia and stylish front grille with the vertical slat. The car front look is different from the Suzuki products with the new headlamp and grille design. This is the first time, the S-Cross has disclosed with the vertical slats grille.

For India, the S-Cross will continue the same 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines and the petrol variants to be offered with the 1.4-litre petrol engine. The transmission options will be offered in the S-Cross crossover, standard 5-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. The export-specific model will be featured the new BoosterJet engine. We will share the whole details soon regarding the S-Cross facelift, which is expected to be priced a little bit higher than the current one.
