2017 Audi Q5 luxury car to return higher fuel efficiency



The German carmaker Audi is preparing to showcase its second generation Audi Q5 at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show, which is to open the doors in this month. Here are some of the things to know about the luxury car, 2017 Audi Q5. The forthcoming Audi car will most probably return higher fuel efficiency with the company’s MLB Evo (MLB II) platform, which also shares in the new Audi cars, A4 and Q7. With the usage of best platform, including lightweight equipment, the next-generationAudi Q5 will reduces its overall weight (kerb weight) by around 100kgs than the existing model.  
The new exterior design and the bigger body structure will be featured by the 2017 Audi Q5 than the outgoing model. At the front side, the luxury car will feature the hexagonal shaped single frame grille and the Matrix LED headlights. From sources, the 2017 Audi Q5 will be available with the latest LED taillights and sequential turn signals. As per the spy shots, the size of the new car is similar to the existing one, but the sources expect that it will be slightly longer, wider and taller than the current one.
                                   
The Audi Q5 will be received the majority of design cues from the new generation Audi Q7 and A4, which is offered by the simple layout design and the latest upholstery and equipment. Most of the functions of the new Audi car can be operated using the MMI touch controller.
The top variants are available with the new Audi’s Virtual Cockpit driver’s display as the standard feature. Besides, the Audi Q5 will feature the latest dashboard with MMI display, triple zone climate control, power adjustable seats, Bang and Olufsen audio system and panoramic glass roof. As per the teaser images, the new luxury SUV is expected to be featured the Android Auto smartphone connectivity and Apple Carplay.
Let’s talk about the mechanical specifications, the Audi Q5 will receive the TDI diesel and TFSI petrol engines, which is available in the Audi A4. Along with these, the luxury car will feature the four-cylinder 2.0L TFSI and TDI engine and 3.0L six cylinder diesel one with the transmission options of 7-speed S-Tronic and 6-speed manual gearbox. The top end models will be featured the Audi AWD Quattro system.
Audi has confirmed that its new Q5 will launch in the global market after its debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show that may start in the last week of this month.
