Audi has showcased its India-bound luxury cars, Audi S5 and A5 Sportback at the ongoing 2016 Paris Motor Show. To be more specific, this is the starting public appearance of cars, which have already revealed in images. The new luxury cars highlighted with the Sportback hallmark design, sloped roofline and extended rear section.
Coming to the interior design, the dashboard is identical to the existing A5 models with the MMI infotainment system and digital instruments. Both Sportbacks get the similar treatment in terms of equipment and upholstery wise. The luxury cars will most probably get the headroom to reduce the sloping roofline.
The Audi A5 Sportback will be offered with the Powertrain options of 2.0-litre TFSI 188bhp petrol and other engine options (2.0-litre and 3.0-litre) within the range of power outputs, 187bhp to 282bhp. The seven or eight speed automatic and six-speed manual gearboxes offered as the transmission options.
The Audi S5 Sportback is to be powered by the 3.0-litre V6 turbo petrol engine with the highest range of output, including 349bhp power and 500Nm torque. The front wheel drivetrain will be the standard on the S5 Sportback versions, which will hit the acceleration speed of 0 to 100kmph in about 4.7 seconds.
Both Audi Sportback cars will be available in the UK market from the starting of 2017. The introduction of cars in the Indian market might be near as the luxury carmaker has already brought the cars for homologation. The upcoming Audi cars will be imported to the Indian market via the CBU route by the starting months of 2017.
Apart from this, the coupe versions of Audi A5 and S5 has been revealed in the home market of Germany in June 2016. We expected that the Coupe and Sportback models feature the similar mechanical specifications, transmission and Powertrain options.
