Till the August 2016, Maruti Suzuki’s
total sales increased to 6.3% with the domestic and export sales of 6,17,770
units in the previous month as against 5,80,905 units in the same month of the
earlier year. In this fiscal, the company’s contribution in the total domestic
passenger sales is high due to the higher demand of its new models Vitara
Brezza compact SUV and the Baleno premium hatchback.
The latest reports from the automotive
sources confirmed that the total passenger vehicle sales will be crossed 3
million units in this fiscal year (FY 2017) as of the good monsoon, the variety
list of products. To increase its market share in the coming festival season,
the Indian PV leader has planned to launch its new product of Maruti Ignis in
the small crossover segment. Along with the Ignis, the
performance based version of Baleno (Baleno RS) with the 1.0-litre BoosterJet
engine will most probably hit the Indian market.
The
company expected that the similar kind of sales to be registered by Maruti
Suzuki in the coming months and influenced the company to have the highest
market share in the domestic industry as well as in the exports.
