Mahindra Sales Increased to 8% in September 2016

Mahindra, the country’s top SUV manufacturer has announced its sales performance report for the month of September 2016. The company has sold 46,130 vehicles and represented a growth of 8 percent compared to the year-ago month sales of 42,848 units. In the first half of this fiscal year ended on September 30, the company has gained the double-digit growth of 11% with the new Mahindra range.

Mahindra’s domestic sales were increased by 7 percent to 42,545 units in the last month against the sales in September 2015 were 39, 693 units. Exports in the last month were stood at the total of 3585 units and the manufacturer has achieved the growth of 14 percent against September 2015 exports. Mahindra has achieved the double-digit growth of 18% during the first half of this financial year.
Sales of passenger vehicles were raised up to 5% at 20,537 units as against 19,564 units in the year-ago month. The existing popular Mahindra passenger vehicles in India were Scorpio, Bolero, XUV 500, Verito and Xylo, which have been receiving demand market. The commercial vehicle sales of Mahindra were increased 11% to 16,081 units in the last month compared to 14,430 units in the same month of 2015.
Pravin Shah, president of Mahindra Automotive responded on the auto sales performance of the last month and said that the new vehicle launches and the good monsoon helped the company to register the 11 percent growth in the duration of the first fiscal. We at Mahindra are happy to have received the good growth for the duration of six months in the domestic market and exports (18 percent). The company expected that the same momentum will continue in the second half period of FY2017.
