The production version of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ignis has been spied again with the black colored body cover on the Indian roads. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki micro SUV has been showcased first at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The model was previously unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show as a Suzuki Ignis, which was launched in the Japanese market. Very recently, the Suzuki Ignis has also made its introduction at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is derived from the company’s i-M4 concept and featured the various kinds of engines differ from the Suzuki Ignis mechanical specifications. The Indian carmaker has planned to launch the Ignis in India as soon as possible, but its launch to be postponed as the Vitara Brezza and Baleno model have currently more demand in the country.
The R&D team already started the testing of Ignis, which is the entry-level sub-4metre crossover from Maruti Suzuki. As per the news, it will be retailed through the premium NEXA network that offers the first rate experience to the customers via the existing products Baleno and S-Cross.
The Maruti Ignis will get the 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines rated at 83bhp and 75PS outputs respectively. The SHVS mild hybrid system will be featured in the Ignis to return the best fuel economy.
The Ignis crossover will be priced in the range of Rs. 5.6lakhs to Rs. 7.2lakhs and targeted the Renault Kwid, Mahindra KUV 100, as well models in terms of size, appearance and features.
