Volkswagen Polo GTI to launch in India by mid-November

CarAndBike Team has reported that the launch details of the upcoming Volkswagen Polo GTI are confirmed and the performance hatchback will be scheduled to launch in the country by mid-November. The Polo GTI is the most-awaited performance hatchback for the Indian potential customers and planned to hit the showrooms as soon as possible.
The Volkswagen Polo GTI has been previewed in the country for the first time at the 2016 Auto Expo and also spotted for the overall testing in the numerous locations. Presently, the Indian market has most popular hot hatches, but the Polo GTI is the compact size hatchback with the high-performance engine.
According to reports, the India-specific Volkswagen Polo GTI will be offered in 3-door body type in the country. Based on the response from the customers, the carmaker will make the 5-door versions, which will reach the Volkswagen showrooms in the next year. The powerful hatchback will be powered by the 1.8-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine that is rated at 190bhp of power and 250Nm torque. The front-wheel drive system and the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox helped to send the power to the front wheels.
Coming to the performance of Volkswagen Polo GTI, the hatchback will hit the acceleration speed of 0 to 100kmph in about 6.7seconds and thereby reaching the top speed of 235kmph. In terms of appearance, the Polo GTI will receive the most of the design cues from the existing Polo GT and the sharp styling with the sportier bumpers, larger intakes and bolder honeycomb grille.
Some of the design elements to be featured by the Volkswagen Polo GT are17-ich alloy wheels, red GTI insignia, GTI-specific rear spoiler and red brake calipers. The three-door side profile has an elegant look and stylish interior than the existed Polo GT.
The Polo GT will be offered in the price range of Rs. 18Lakhs to Rs. 20Lakhs (ex-showroom of Delhi) and the upcoming hatchback will be around Rs. 5 to 7lakh expensive than its closest rival of Abarth Punto Evo.
