The Baleno hatchback from Maruti
Suzuki continues to have the waiting period of six months, according to the
latest report from the automotive sources. Now, the company has to deliver
45,000 units of the Indian-made Baleno but it has the lack of production units.
In fact, the production of Baleno is running at its manufacturing unit with the
full production capacity, even though the company will not deliver the models
on time. Because the Baleno hatchback popularity is rising day by day in the
passenger car market.
The premium hatchback has been
launched in October 2016 and recognised in the car market like one of the top
10 best-selling cars in the last month. In the previous months, the Baleno has
been received the best sales structure with the highly inflexible and
lightweight platform. Offered at the price tag of Rs 4.95lakh, Maruti Suzuki introduced
automatic gearboxes on the new Baleno car only on the Delta petrol version. Later,
the carmaker introduced top-end Zeta variant with the CVT unit in the last
month due to the considerable demand from the customers.
The demand for the Baleno is
expanded to the multiple biggest markets and it is the first Indian-made Maruti
Suzuki car exported to the Japanese (Suzuki’s home-grown) market. The hatchback
is now available with the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel and 1.2-litre K-series petrol engines.
The petrol variants generated 74bhp of the maximum power and 190Nm of the
torque at the high-speed range and offered with the 5-speed CVT and manual
boxes. While the diesel engine mated with the manual gearbox and rated at the outputs
of 83bhp and 115Nm.
Baleno gives the toughest competition
to the best-selling hatchback, Hyundai Elite i20 and it’s kind of category
models. The Indian made car sold a total of 10,004 units of models and named as
the sixth highest selling passenger car.
