Volkswagen plans to launch more than 30 electric cars in next 10yrs


The German carmaker Volkswagen is planning to introduce electric vehicles in the global market to regain its brand image that was affected due to the diesel emission scandal. It was confirmed by Volkswagen previously and now, the best automotive sources confirmed that the Volkswagen Group to launch over 30 all-new electric cars by 2025. In addition, the best car company has dedicated to selling two to three million units of vehicles in every year with the introduction of electric powered cars. Volkswagen will follow respective government limits on emission standards to introduce the new generation battery operated cars. 

In the September month of the last year, the German car brand’s diesel emission scandal has been raised up and blow out to the biggest global markets. Volkswagen has been implementing recovery approaches like recall processing to fit the new engines and introduction of new technology based vehicles. Volkswagen CEO, Matthias Muller said that the company to offer much amount of electric vehicles to meet the respective government commitments owing to the less emissions of carbon dioxide. Moreover, Volkswagen will focus on new generation of cars by developing the high efficient engines.

Till the date, the German company focuses on the diesel engine technology to meet the emission standard goals. The entire process is to be completed once the global market has confidence about the company’s diesel engine technology and driving conditions like in the earlier years. As of now, the company is repairing the 5,00,000 cars affected by the defeat software under the settlement of the US authorities. In fact, the sales of the total Volkswagen Group brands in the US, Germany and other markets fell down with the major diesel emission scandal.  The company puts around 16.2 billion Euros ($18.1 billion) to invest in the recalling and refitting processes.


There is no precise information, but the discussions will continue in the Indian market regarding whether the Indian-specific vehicles to be affected by the cheated engine software or not. Just a few days back, some of the sources reported that the Polo car will be introduced with the new emission-free diesel engine to overcome the issue.
