with the 5-speed manual transmission as a standard gearbox. Additionally, the
CVT option will offer in the petrol variants, which cost higher than the manual
cars. The two engine options, 1.3-litre diesel engine motor retrieved from the
best-selling S-Cross crossover and 1.2-litre K12B petrol motor with the VVT.
The Maruti Ignis will be joined
in the Nexa network’s product range as the company is planning to introduce it
via the premium outlets. Currently, the Baleno hatchback and the S-Cross sold
in the Indian market via the Nexa outlets that provide excellent hospitality
services and user experience to the customers. Maruti Suzuki said that the Nexa
network will be expanded to 250 outlets by the fiscal year end, from 127.
Along with the Nexa outlets, the carmaker
to open the premium service centres (workshops) with the high-range service facilities
across the country. No official information about Ignis launch, but the sources
reported that it will be introduced in the festival months to get more bookings
and sales from the potential buyers.
The Ignis will be positioned as a
unique product of Maruti Suzuki in the Indian car market with the new platform
and a CVT automatic gearbox. Till the date, the locally-developed Baleno gets
more positive compliments from all worldwide markets. In a similar way, the
Ignis will get top bookings after its launch and compete with the new Mahindra
