Mahindra & Mahindra has been
launched the automatic versions of the downsized Mahindra XUV 500 in the Delhi
region. The 6-speed automatic transmission box is mated with the downsized
1.99L diesel engine and available in three variants, W6, W8 and W10. The XUV
500 W6 1.99L automatic is priced at Rs. 14.51 lakh while the W8 and W10
versions offered at Rs. 15.94lakh and Rs. 17.32lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
In fact, Mahindra has been
introduced the popular SUV, Mahindra XUV 500 with the downsized 1.99L diesel
engine in Delhi due to the heavy diesel vehicle registration ban. Along with
the XUV 500, the Scorpio car is offered with the same 1.99-litre diesel engine
without losing any performance compared to the regular one. At that time, the utility
vehicle major has released manual versions within the shorter period to recover
from the ban effect.
The regular XUV 500 2.2L has already
offered with the automatic versions, so that the company has introduced the automatic
versions on the 1.99l variant for the Delhi people. The downsized 1,997cc
engine is rated at 140hp of power and 320Nm of torque in the XUV 500 and there
are more chances to offer the Scorpio 1.99L with the automatic versions in the
coming months.
The higher variant W10 comes with
the highest range of features, compromising 7.0-inch touch screen with the GPS
navigation display, reverse parking camera, rain-sensing wipers and tyre
pressure monitoring system. In addition, the XUV 500 W10 1.99L AT available
with the excellent Mahindra’s Blue Sense system, climate control, automatic
headlights, USB, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity and start-stop button.
The special 1.99-litre versions
of Scorpio and XUV 500 available in the national capital region while the regular
2.2L variants sold in other cities. To increase the Mahindra brand’s range in
the competitive SUV market, the car maker has launched the Scorpio Adventure limited
edition with the special exterior effects.
As of now, the smaller XUV 500
manual and automatic versions available in Delhi but, these could be launched
in other states like Kerala if their respective courts offer the same 2000cc
above diesel vehicle registration ban.
