With the more demand in the car market, the automotive resources expected that Maruti Suzuki will be sold around 10,000 units in this month. Launched in October 2015, the Baleno premiumhatchback to touch this milestone in around 8 months. By observing this result, the hatchback will most probably cross the 1 lakh milestone in less than one year period.

The Indian carmaker sold a total of 10,004 units of the hatchbacks in the last month as a result, the total sales closed to 64,263 units since the product launch. On the daily basis, Maruti sold over 260 cars in May 2016. The same kind of response will happen in this month, the premium hatchback will easily cross the 75,000 units mark by the end of this month.

The Baleno has received 6 to 8 months waiting period in some cities due to the high demand in the present car market. Maruti Suzuki to be delivered around 45,000 orders of Baleno as an immediate act. To reduce the waiting period, the car market leader plans to increase the production capacity of the successful product, Indian-made Baleno.

The production capacity is gradually increasing by the company and now, it is to be reached to 12,000 units in a month. Moreover, the company has been started the exportation of Baleno to the Japanese market, which also influences the product demand. So that, Maruti Suzuki is planning to bring a perfect solution to meet the demands of both domestic and export markets.

Baleno has already become as one of the top best-selling cars in India, even though it will try to cross the closest revival, Hyundai Elite i20 in terms of sales. To add more strength, the Baleno RS showcased at the motor show event of Auto Expo 2016 will launch in the festival period. The 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine will be featured by the upcoming Baleno RS variant that will be sold via the same NEXA outlets. Maruti plans to open 123 Nexa showrooms, Nexa service centres and 200 standard outlets in the country by this fiscal end. In addition, the new compact crossover, Maruti Ignis will be introduced in the coming three to four months to target the best-selling crossover.
