Maruti Suzuki launched Swift Deca limited edition at Rs. 5.94lakh

                               

Before the festival season, the Indian carmaker has launched the special edition of the regular Swift hatchback in the Indian market at Rs. 5.94lakh of price and the limited edition was named as Maruti Suzuki Swift Deca. It has designed based on the mid-level versions of the Swift and offered by the special features, side skirts, twin racing stripes from the hood to the boot-id, new roof-mounted spoiler, single stripe on the rear door and the C-pillar.


On the exterior, the swift hatchback gets the gloss black finished wheel covers and the front door has appeared with the 10 number of decals. The Swift Deca is offered in two exterior colour options of Pearl White and Bright Red.

                               

The interior of the Maruti Swift Deca has been offered with the red and black seat covers with while piping, front armrest, steering wheel cover, Sony multimedia infotainment (music) system with the touchscreen, Bluetooth support and external mic, 6-inch Sony speakers, and the reverse parking system with the camera.

Additionally, the Swift Deca is offered with the faux carbon fibre finished centre console, trendy floor mats, door sill guard, gear boot cover and ambient light.

                               


The Swift Deca costs Rs. 5,94,445  for the mid-level VXI trim and Rs. 6,86,983 for the VDI variant and both variants cost an additional price of Rs. 22,555 and Rs. 30,319 than the regular variants of Swift VXi and VDi.  The customers will benefit of Rs. 18,000 on the accessory kit of Suzuki Deca and this will increase the company’s market share in the festival period.

Audi launches new-gen A4 (2016 Audi A4) in India on September 8

Audi has declared that its new generation model 2016 Audi A4 to be launched in the Indian market on 8th September 2016. The fifth generation Audi A4 model was launched around a year back in the European market and now, it is finally set to launch in India. The model is codenamed as Audi B9 and measuring 4,726mm of length, 1,842mm of width and 1427mm of height. The 2016 Audi A4 is 25mm longer and 16mm wider than the existing model and to be offered by the longer wheelbase of 2820mm.
The new car will reduce its overall weight by up to 120kgs with the second-generation MLB platform of MLB Evo. At the front side, the shoulder width is increased by 17mm and head clearance is increased by 23mm respectively. Similarly, the upcoming Audi car’s interior length is increased by 17mm and the rear legroom by 23mm as against the fourth generation Audi A4.
Let’s speak about the mechanical specifications, the new one is available with the different kinds of TDI diesel and TFSI petrol engines and transmission options of the 6-speed manual gearbox, 7-speed S Tronic automatic as well as 8-speed Tiptronic automatic in the European market.
Coming to India, the 2016 Audi A4 will be offered with the single turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine of the 1.4-litre TFSI is returning 150PS and 250Nm torque. Only the single transmission of 7-speed S Tronic along with the front wheel drive system offered in the new-gen Audi A4. The diesel versions will offer later in India and be available with the 2.0-litre TDI (190 PS) diesel engine. In fact, the new-gen Audi A4 3.0 TDI has been showcased at the 2016 Audi Expo but, its launch was delayed. The price and other details of petrol car are yet to be revealed.

Maruti Suzuki introduces new-gen Alto, big cars and SUVs: Kenichi Ayukawa


Maruti Suzuki’s MD and CEO, Kenichi Ayukawa confirmed that the Indian largest carmaker will increase its portfolio of SUVs and bigger cars along with small cars. Maruti Suzuki is the leader in the small car range, but the success of the Renault Kwid will cause for concern of the carmaker. So that, the company has started the work of new generation Alto, which is the best-selling small car in India.

The Indo-Japanese carmaker has been receiving the healthy response from the customers with its best models, Maruti Ciazsedan and the new Vitara Brezza SUV. The new generation customers are expecting more premium cars, as a result, the company is concentrating on the introduction of premium cars according to the customer’s expectations, according to CEO of Maruti Suzuki.
Maruti Suzuki expects its overall sales to increase by 10 percent in this fiscal with the existing and new models. Now, the company has a market share of around 47 percent with the good monsoon and other positives. In the last fiscal, the largest car maker has sold a total of 13 lakhs cars in India and exported 1.2 lakh cars.
                                    
With the Gujarat production plant, the company to target the total sales of 20lakh cars by the end of this decade (2020). The production at the Gujarat plant to begin from the next year, while the company’s Manesar and Gurgaon plants have the capacity to produce 15 lakh cars in a year. By adding the third shift, the two plant’s production capacity will increase by 10 percent. Initially, the Gujarat plant will be started with the production capacity of 2.5lakh cars in the first phase, while the second phase will address the same number of volumes.
The entry level segment of Maruti has been challenged by Renault Kwid with the average monthly sales of 10,000 cars, compared to 18,000 to 19,000 units of Alto. As for that reason and continue the trust on the Alto as well as the small car segment, we are planning to introduce the new generation Alto soon in India.

Audi A6 Matrix petrol launched in India at Rs. 52.75 lakhs

The German based luxury carmaker has launched the Audi A6 Matrix in the Indian market at the ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 52,75,000 in New Delhi. The new Audi car is available with the 35 TFSI petrol engine, which was previously offered in only Audi A6 car in India. The new A6 Matrix is offered with the high-quality design and features, similar to the existing one.
The diesel version of the Audi A6 Matrix is already under sale in the country and now, the carmaker has introduced the petrol one in the part of the company’s new plan that of all existing Audi cars to be available with the petrol versions in India by the first quarter end of the next year.  
The Audi A6 35 TFSI is available with the 1.8-litre TFSI four-cylinder petrol engine, which was the turbocharged one develops the 190 PS or 140 kW of power in the speed range of 4,200 to 6,200 rpm and the torque of 320Nm at the speed range of 1,400 to 4,100 rpm. In Germany, this petrol engine is offered in the base variants of Audi A6 Matrix 35 TFSI.
The 7-speed S Tronic automatic transmission (dual-clutch) is available in the A6 35 TFSI used to send the maximum power to the wheels. The Quattro AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system is not available in the A6 Matrix 35 TFSI. The new car can hit the top speed of 233km/h with the acceleration speed of 0-100km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Being a luxury petrol car, it is rated at the fuel economy of 15.26kmpl (ARAI).  
Discussing the features, the new Audi A6 Matrix car comes with the Matrix LED headlights, adaptive air suspension, dynamic turn indicators, electric boot lid, opened foot gesture, MMI touch, 8-inch infotainment system, navigation support, Bose Surround Sound music system with 14-speakers and eight airbags.

Upcoming Mahindra’s MPV Spotted in Chennai


The upcoming Multi-purpose vehicle of the largest utility vehicle maker has been spotted for testing at the outside regions of Chennai. Previously, the model has been tested by Mahindra with the heavy camouflage. It is the second time, the updated model has tested and the set of spy shots available in the market.
New MPV is expected to get the typical design than the existing ones and offer with the three rows of seating, forward sloping roof and the hatchback type of rear door. Most of the front design of the new MPV is expected to be similar to its best-selling SUV, Mahindra XUV 500. Being a new Mahindra car, it will be developed with the best monocoque platform of Mahindra.


The front-wheel drivetrain is the standard drive system to be offered in the Mahindra’s new MPV, while the all-wheel drive will be an optional one. Similar to the company’s SUV (XUV 500), it will be available in two fuel types and if possible, the hybrid version could be offered to the Indian customers.
The new MPV would be designed with the better stylish structure and equipment than the Mahindra Xylo and the model will compete the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova. The spacious cabin, the fleet and the three-row seating will give a different look to the new car.

Maruti Suzuki launches Swift Deca limited edition soon in India

The Indo-Japanese automaker has revealed the name and released a teaser video of the upcoming car without any details. As per the teaser video, the Swift Deca is expected to be received the 10 updates in terms of cosmetic effects. The mechanical changes may not be applied to the upcoming Swift Deca, which will be equal to the Swift accessorised version showcased at theDelhi Auto Expo in 2016. As the previewed one has displayed with the 10 number of stickers on its body.
                                
The limited edition name of Maruti Swift has been decided by the contest of the “Name The Next Swift” launched a few months back. The special edition will be received the stylish and sporty body kit and more details of this to be available closer to its launch. It might be featured the dual-tone seat covers, Bluetooth-enabled audio system, red inserts on the dashboard and door trim, faux-leather seats, red-stitched gear knob and branded floor mats.
Mechanically, the Swift Deca will also continue the existing 1.2-litre VVT (K-series) petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS turbocharged diesel engines. The petrol engine pumps outs the maximum power of 83bhp and 115Nm torque, while the diesel one churns put the higher outputs of 83bhp and 115Nm. Both engines paired with the 5-speed manual gearbox as a standard feature.
The Indo-Japanese carmaker to introduce the Swift Deca anytime in India and the model costs an extra price of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 than the current one.

Mahindra’s Customised Thar Daybreak Edition Costs Around Rs. 9.6lakhs

                                 

The customised Mahindra Thar has been previewed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and the viewers were surprised with a new look. The utility vehicle major is offering the best service to the Mahindra Thar customers and the entire process is to be handled by the company’s customization department. With this facility, the customers will allow to customise the existing cars as per their requirements.
The customization department is to receive the booking orders for the Mahindra Thar Daybreak edition and customise the variants. The Thar Daybreak edition will cost around Rs. 9.6lakh in the Indian market and the customers need to pay an additional amount of Rs. 1.5lakhs to get the hard top.
                               
Almost 2 months of time will be taken by the Mahindra’s customization department to modify the vehicle as per the buyer’s requirements. The sources indicated that the modified Thar CRDe variant will be offered with the 2.5-litre engine, which is rated at 105bhp of power and 247 of torque. To avoid the conflicts in insurance and engine process, the customization department has committed to continue with the existed diesel engine of the Thar.
The modified model will get 37- Maxxis Trepador sporty tyres, heavy duty winch, high lift kit, off-road front bumpers, the wider bonnet at the front side, projector headlamps and auxiliary lights. The interior part of the Thar will be available with the waterproof speakers, Sparco bucket seats and the dual tone famishment similar to the exterior. Punjab police department to get 150 Maruti Ertiga vehicles

To modernise the police force and upsurge the operational capacities in the urban areas, Punjab deputy CM, Sukhbir Singh Badal, has allotted 150 new Maruti Ertiga vehicles to the police department. The Punjab government has sanctioned a total amount of Rs. 10 crores for 150 new Ertiga vehicles. In this second phase, the police commissioner's office of Ludhiana will get 50 vehicles, police commissioner's office of Jalandhar and Amritsar will get a total of 60 (30 each) Maruti Ertiga cars, SSP Bathinda will get 12 cars and SSP SAS Nagar will get 28 vehicles.

Out of 150 Ertiga vehicles for the police department, 100 cars to be launched by Punjab CM, and this plan was aimed to quickly reach the corresponding locations, thereby the response time is to be decreased. With an aim to stay in touch with the rural and urban areas of Punjab in just kilometres away, the Punjab government had announced this second phase.

The Punjab Govt. had invested a total amount of Rs. 15 crores in the first phase for 220 Mahindra Bolero cars and 400 Honda Unicorn Motorcycles. Under the scheme of RRPRS (Rapid Rural Response Scheme), the government has introduced the first phase. With the scheme launched by BadalDeputy CM, the rural areas get the police assistance in just less than 20 minutes of time.

Mahindra has been introduced the new vehicle connectivity program of DigiSense, which is the platform for connecting the company’s vehicles and equipment with the Mahindra customers. As of now, Mahindra has introduced this DigiSense mobile or web based platform for commercial vehicles and construction equipment. Later, Mahindra will add the passenger cars in the mobile based platform.


The utility vehicle major, Mahindra has committed to build its infrastructure with the partners of Bosch as device technology partners, Vodafone for network partners and Tech Mahindra for software. Using the DigiSense, the Mahindra owners will get the alerts regarding the vehicle usage, health and maintenance by connecting with the machine.
                                 
Features of DigiSense:
The safety features include theft alert and geo-fencing to be provided with this platform. Additionally, the commercial vehicles will get the features like remote diagnostics, distress calling features, and breakdown alert. The DigiSense features like preventive maintenance tips and service alerts will help the customers to avoid the breakdowns and help for driving pattern analysis and vehicular tracking.

The internet platform will be offered to Mahindra buyers at the cost range of Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000. Depends on the services offered and vehicle model, the cost of the platform will be decided. In future, this platform will integrate with the more internet technologies.

Mahindra e2o 4-door electric car spied in Bangalore

It may be production specific model and the 4-door electric car is expected to be introduced by the end of 2017.
Mahindra Reva has announced that it is working on all-new compact electric SUV, which was coded as S107 and this will be the next major project of the company after the e-Verito (Verito Electric). So, the company is expected to be testing its components for the next-coming electric SUV, which will reportedly hit the global market in anytime.
                                  
The existing one is the 3-door Mahindra e2o, which has a different style compared to the Mahindra cars available in India. The upcoming 4-door model is expected to be featured the more sharpness and updated styling than the current one. Maruti Suzuki launches Ignis crossover in Diwali: Report


According to the report of Financial Express, Maruti Suzuki is to launch its upcoming crossover Maruti Ignis in this Diwali season. Initially, the company has committed to introduce the Ignis in the country during the festival season. But, some of the reports stated that the company is planning to postpone its new crossover launch to the next year due to the high demand of the existing products, Vitara Brezza and Baleno.

The Maruti Ignis has been unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo for the first time in India and the model measures the compact body dimensions of 3,700mm length, 1660mm width, 1595mm height and comes with the wheelbase of 2435mm and 180mm ground clearance.
The India-specific model will be featured the chrome finished grille and roof rails, dual tone dashboard with the SmartPlay display, the latest steering wheel design and the unique HVAC controls. The higher variants may offer with the LED DRLs, wider C-pillar and flared wheel arches.

                            

The compact crossover is expected to be available with the two types of petrol engines and one diesel engine. The petrol engines will be the 1.2-litre K12B with VVT sourced from its existed models and the global-specific Baleno’s 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine. The 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine, available in the existing crossover Maruti S-Cross, will be used in the Ignis, entry level small crossover of Maruti Suzuki.
The rumours around the Ignis are the new model to get the mild hybrid system of SHVS and the AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission) option on the diesel variant. The company is designing this model to target the Mahindra KUV 100 small crossover in India. The estimated cost of the upcoming Maruti car will around the Mahindra’s car price.

Suzuki has launched the Ignis in its home market (Japan), so that India will be the second market to get this crossover.

Maruti Suzuki market share increased in NCR due to diesel ban

The largest carmaker’s market share has been increased in the NCR region due to the Supreme Court’s verdict of heavy diesel vehicle ban. From the last five months, the buyers have opted for the petrol versions as of this ban in Delhi NCR. Consequently, the sales of company’s petrol version increased and Maruti Suzuki accounts for more than 5 percent share in the last one and half year in NCR.
Due to the sentiment of the diesel vehicle ban, the company’s sales increased in the major cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Pune and Mumbai. All these major cities accounted for over 40 percent of the total company sales, especially the sales of petrol versions raised in the country.


The diesel ban is the beneficial for Maruti Suzuki, but the other companies like Mahindra, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and Audi companies effected in the country. Audi has estimated that it may loss of Rs. 760crore worth of sales in just last 8 to 9 months of period. Additionally, the car manufacturers are working on the petrol versions of existing models to overcome the disaster.
Along with the diesel ban, the company’s new launches Ciaz hybrid (Ciaz SHVS), Baleno hatchback and Vitara Brezza influenced the company to have the maximum sales in all regions. The NCR+ region contributed 13 percent of national sales with 51 percent of market share in the first quarter of this fiscal year ended in June 2016.

RS Kalsi, Executive Director of Maruti Suzuki, said that the increment of sales in the major cities is one of the company’s major achievements. We have a strong network across the country and offered best-in-class products with the AMT and mild hybrid technologies in the last one year period. As a result, the company has gained the best market share in India, according to him.
Being an entry level sub-4metre SUV, Vitara Brezza is becoming as the sixth best passenger vehicle with sales of 10,232 units in the last month. Similarly, Maruti Suzuki sold 9,120 units of Baleno in the earlier month and the premium hatchback was the 9thbest-selling vehicle in India.
