Maruti Suzuki has sold around 80,330
units of Baleno in just 10 months with the iconic design and performance of the
global standard model. The average monthly sales of the premium hatchback are more
than 8,000 units since its launch in October 2015. By observing the total
analysis of the Baleno sales report, the 70 percent of the total Baleno customers
purchased 1.2 petrol variant. The reasons behind this are the entry-level petrol
variant offered at the lower on-road price and the diesel-powered cars have uncertainty
in India. Moreover, the variation between the fuel prices impacted to increase the
demand of Baleno 1.2 petrol.
The Indian-made Baleno exported
to the different markets with the 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine so that the
demand for the product is increased. Consequently, it receives waiting period
around six to seven months. In this financial year, the model has tried to
overcome the Hyundai i20 in terms of sales, but it hasn’t. As per the report from
Indian Autos blog, the Baleno receives more than 1lakh orders from the
prospective customers in around ten months.
The manufacturing unit of Maruti
Suzuki (Manesar plant) is running at the full capacity of production to deliver
the total booking orders. Besides, the company’s Vitara Brezza also received the
waiting period in India due to the demand. Once the Gujarat facility (Sanand
Plant) starts the operation, the carmaker expected to deliver the models in the
mentioned period.
