The upcoming Multi-purpose vehicle of the largest utility
vehicle maker has been spotted for testing at the outside regions of Chennai.
Previously, the model has been tested by Mahindra with the heavy camouflage. It is the
second time, the updated model has tested and the set of spy shots available in
the market.
New MPV is expected to get the typical design than the
existing ones and offer with the three rows of seating, forward sloping roof
and the hatchback type of rear door. Most of the front design of the new MPV is
expected to be similar to its best-selling SUV, Mahindra XUV 500. Being a new Mahindra car, it will be developed with the
best monocoque platform of Mahindra.
The front-wheel drivetrain is the standard drive system to be
offered in the Mahindra’s new MPV, while the all-wheel drive will be an
optional one. Similar to the company’s SUV (XUV
500), it will be available in two fuel types and if possible, the hybrid
version could be offered to the Indian customers.
The new MPV would be designed
with the better stylish structure and equipment than the Mahindra Xylo and the model will compete the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova. The spacious cabin, the
fleet and the three-row seating will give a different look to the new car.
