Volkswagen India sells 148 cars in Kerala on the first day of Chingam


Volkswagen India has sold 148 vehicles in the state of Kerala, India on the occasion of Chingam, New Year of Malayalam. It was the greatest record for the German carmaker, Volkswagen in the Indian market. The first day of Chingam brings a boost up an environment to Volkswagen that was witnessed the delivery of 148 cars across Kerala. In one day, Volkswagen Kochi has sold around 40 cars so that it marks a new milestone of bulk delivery cars from a single outlet.

In the history of Volkswagen India, it was the best news to the German carmaker. Volkswagen India director, Mr Michael Mayer responded about the achievement and said that Kerala will continue as an important market for Volkswagen. Moreover, this success motivates us to put the great efforts in introducing the new products, thereby enhancing the customer delight, according to him.

Volkswagen Ameo compact sedan has been launched in petrol variants in India at an affordable price tag. Besides, the two service packages are available to the Volkswagen Ameo customers with a warranty of either 3 or 4 years. The Ameo diesel prototype model has been spied on the roads for testing, thereby the model will most probably hit the Indian market at any time. As per the sources, the diesel variants will be offered with the 1.5-litre 108bhp, 230Nm engine. The diesel variants will strengthen the Ameo position in the compact sedan segment and help to increase the Ameo sales in India.
